I was disappointed to see that Dennis Prager now charges (again) for commercial free podcasts of his show. I was once a paid member – I took the annual for some savings and the service ceased to exist during my paid subscription. That was bad enough, but there was a total lack of communication on the part of Prager and his people that ultimately was blamed on legalities with the new owners of his show. I was less than amused.

That was a few years ago. Salem Radio then began offering the service for free. I was then happy and listened contently until last week, commercials began appearing in my podcast. It seems that one has to pay now to get commercial free podcasts of the Prager show. Since I went down that road in the past and was less than thrilled with the ultimate service I will not be the first in line to renew that service. It is a given that I do not want to hear commercials, so the likely outcome will be that I listen to less Prager. I hate to do that, but there are other hosts that I would be willing to pay for (Rush, Bill Bennett) but I do not currently subscribe to any (other than a monthly lecture by Prager). What a shame.
