I thought Obama said that he wanted to move past and fix race relations in this country? If that is so then, once again he has surely failed.
Race relations is always a difficult subject. It divides the people and causes bitterness and anger. It also can be used as a wedge to damage political enemies. That is the way that the Obama people seem to be acting.
Michelle Obama, the First Lady no less, has spoken at the annual NAACP conference and has stoked racial fires. This is should be beneath a woman that has clearly not been held back due to her race. She is married to the first black man in the office of The President of the United States. She graduated from an Ivy League school and did quite well as a lawyer in her own right. Even though she has succeeded in this country, she harbors a deep bitterness that shows its head every so often, usually in political rallies. This is definitely beneath her office, which is sullied every time the administration seeks to divide the people instead of uniting us.
In fact, the whole Obama movement has thus far been one of division, attack and payback. As his personal approval ratings drop, his people have been on the attack. They are going after the Tea Party movement, trying to paint the members as racists, while at the same time they are trying to stop any investigation into the Black Panthers from violently blocking the voters in Philly.
We need to get past the vile racism that poisons our politics, I just wish the left would leave it like the right has.
